Tim Martin’s Wetherspoons Bar – The Anagram Rhyme

Tim Martin on his barstool,
Sitting in his pub
Drinking down his tenth pint
Eating up his grub
Along came Corona
Nothing for him to fear
Coming out of his kegs [wee Scottish joke there]
(It was his new guest beer)
His words were getting jumbled
He said “I’ll show ’em what I’ve got”
“I, Mr. Ten Brew man,
Shits soap rot!”
Poor Tim’s muddled his words
In “The Anagram Rhyme”
Did you spot the first one?
If not better luck next time
Tim also wants seconds,
A Yorkshire barmaid serves
She says “Here – mangy rat ham” [That’s two]
(It’s all that he deserves)
Tim Martin doesn’t bat an eye,
He’d swallow almost anything,
Even with Corona
That foreign frothy thing
But Tim is now upset, he wails
“That’s not a pound of ham
I’m feeling very angry
That this plateful’s by the gram!”
“I cannot be having this
We must keep our pound pure”. Oh
But lurking in his change
He finds another Euro
But Tim is still an optimist
A man of eloquence and taste
So he says “you saucy barmaid
Tell me his long did you baste
This fricassee of rat
It’s overdone and my beer’s flat
But the barmaid answers calmly
“Sir, it always made like that’
He says “well pour a pint of Wetherspoon’s
My foamy fermented Brexit hope”
Yorkshire lass replies admiringly
“Mr. Not Remain brews ‘t sh*t soap” [that’s the third]
“It’ll wash away ‘t Corona”
But for giggles and a laugh
Tim says “let’s keep serving it anyway
To punters and the staff”
Now this would all be fun
But Tim hasn’t sense, not any
So while “The Anagram rhymes”
Sadly “He harms great many” [that’s your lot]
So now we drink up Tim’s Corona
And Tim is pleased because closed borders
Came sooner than expected
But sadly so too does “last orders”
